We need your help, now more than ever to ensure the continuation and expansion of vital services for individuals with developmental disabilities and their families!  Public policy advocacy is a critical component of The Arc of New Jersey's mission, and is most effective when family members, self-advocates and caring citizens actively participate.  We rely heavily on this kind of grassroots advocacy to ensure that New Jersey's policymakers stay "in the know" about issues affecting constituents with intellectual and developmental disabilities and their families.  Advocating for the rights and needs of individuals with developmental disabilities has never been easier – you can make a significant impact in 10 minutes a month without even having to leave your home. If you are the family member of an individual with a developmental disability, join The Arc of New Jersey’s Families Network.  The Families Network is an action-oriented network of families that receive email updates on public policy issues and are asked to respond to calls to action, mainly via email, by contacting their elected officials.  If you are not a family member, sign up for The Arc of New Jersey’s Friends Network – an email network of individuals who care about disability issues and are willing to respond to online action alerts when issues arise.   Please consider signing up today for one of The Arc of New Jersey's e-Action Networks at www.arcnj.org.
